The Associated Garden Clubs of Spokane started the first ever Lilac Parade back in 1938, which became the first ever Spokane Lilac Festival.  After becoming its own organization in 1952, the SLFA and the AGC have maintained a close partnership – the AGC sponsors the Spirit of Lilac Scholarship, and has hosted this luncheon for decades as a way to showcase our Royal Court!
